Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine Welcome R. Jackson Ross, MD
R. Jackson Ross, MD, recently joined Hattiesburg Clinic Pulmonary Medicine and Hattiesburg Clinic Critical Care Medicine.
At Pulmonary Medicine, Dr. Ross provides prevention, diagnosis and treatment of respiratory disorders like COPD. At Critical Care Medicine, he provides care to patients in need of intensive medical care or life support. He has special practice interests in advanced diagnostic bronchoscopy, lung nodules and masses, COPD, asthma and pulmonary embolism.
Ross received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Miss. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss.
Ross is board certified in internal medicine and pulmonary diseases and is board eligible in critical care medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American College of Physicians and the American Thoracic Society.
“I grew up in Hattiesburg and wanted to return to take care of my community and be close to my family,” Ross said.
