Hattiesburg Clinic Connections and Hattiesburg Clinic Psychology & Counseling will host the 21st Annual ADHD & Related Concerns Conference on Monday, Oct. 21, and Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2024. The conference will be held at Lake Terrace Convention Center, located at 1 Convention Center Plaza in Hattiesburg, Miss.

    About the Conference

    The mission of the conference is to educate and inspire the community to better diagnose, treat and care for those with ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and coexisting disorders. The conference will include sessions on a variety of other topics as well, including dyslexia, behavior management, autism and addiction.

    The keynote speaker will be Sharon Saline, Psy.D., clinical psychologist and author of the award-winning book, What Your ADHD Child Wishes You Knew: Working Together to Empower Kids for Success in School and Life and The ADHD Solution Card Deck. She specializes in working with kids, young adults and families living with ADHD, learning disabilities and mental health issues. Dr. Saline lectures and facilitates workshops internationally on topics such as understanding ADHD, executive functioning, anxiety, different kinds of learners and the teen brain.

    Who Should Attend?

    This conference is for parents, caregivers, educators, counselors, health care professionals and those interested in learning more about how to improve the lives of individuals with ADHD or other learning differences.

    During the event, we will provide Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) for school administrators, counselors, nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, dyslexia therapists, psychologists, social workers, speech language pathologists, regular educators and special educators. We also encourage attendance by parents and caregivers to learn more about how to help their child with ADHD manage his or her condition.
