Meet Brandy Moucheron with Endocrinology
Brandy Moucheron has been an integral part of Hattiesburg Clinic Endocrinology since June 2019, serving as a certified medical assistant (CMA) for Daniel T. McCall, IV, MD. Over the past five years, Brandy has distinguished herself through her commitment to patient care, her compassion and her integrity.
As a CMA, Brandy’s responsibilities are crucial to the smooth operation of her department. She expertly handles a variety of tasks, including rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, managing nurse in-basket calls, addressing patient questions and concerns, processing prescription refill requests, communicating test results and handling durable medical equipment (DME) supply orders. Her role requires a blend of technical skills and compassionate communication, which she consistently delivers with a personal touch.
Brandy’s passion for her work is deeply rooted in her personal experiences. She draws inspiration from caring for her grandmother after a stroke, a role that ignited her passion for patient care. Her grandmother’s encouragement to pursue a career in health care has fueled her dedication to her patients.
“I always remember that my patients are someone’s mom, dad, grandmother, grandfather or friend, and treat them with respect,” Brandy said. “I know my grandmother would be proud.” This perspective drives her to treat every individual with the utmost respect and kindness, ensuring they feel valued and understood.
Brandy values the camaraderie and professionalism that characterize the supportive and skilled Endocrinology team. The sense of teamwork and mutual respect within the department enhances her job satisfaction and fuels her commitment to providing excellent care.
Brandy’s journey at Hattiesburg Clinic has been one of growth and empowerment. Starting as a receptionist, she took full advantage of the Clinical Education Enhancement Program (CEEP) offered by the clinic, earning her CMA certification from Pearl River Community College (PRCC) in May 2023. This accomplishment has not only boosted her confidence but also equipped her with the skills to better serve her patients.
Beyond her professional life, Brandy enjoys a rich personal life filled with family and hobbies. A native of Anniston, Ala., she has lived in several cities, including Huntsville and Tuscaloosa, before settling in Hattiesburg, Miss., during her high school years. Brandy graduated from Oak Grove High School in 1999 and has since pursued various roles, from medical receptionist to teacher and assistant director at a daycare.
Brandy is the proud mother of two daughters, Madison and Hanna. Madison, 21, is on the verge of graduating from The University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Sports Management, while Hanna, 18, is about to begin her studies in nursing at PRCC. Family is central to Brandy’s life, and she cherishes the time spent with her daughters and other family members. She enjoys activities such as working in her yard, planting flowers, watching movies and taking trips to visit her sister and mother out of state. Additionally, she loves the beach and relishes opportunities to relax by the sea.
Brandy’s genuine concern and commitment to patient care, well represents our high standard of excellence. Her dedication to her work, her empathy for patients and her integrity make her an invaluable part of the Hattiesburg Clinic team.
