Hypertension Center Welcomes Carlos A. Latorre, MD, MS, FAAFP, DABFM

Carlos A. Latorre, MD, MS, FAAFP, DABFM, recently joined Hattiesburg Clinic Hypertension Center, where he provides care for patients with chronic medical conditions, with a focus on hypertension and chronic kidney disease.

Latorre received his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in San Juan, P.R. He completed a residency in family medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Miss.

He is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine.

At Hypertension Center, his goal is to help Mississippians become healthier by lowering their blood pressure and reducing the threat of stroke, heart attack and kidney disease.

“I’ve worked with several Hattiesburg Clinic physicians and clinicians previously, so joining the clinic feels like coming home. I’m thrilled to be working with them again – this time as a hypertension specialist,” Latorre said.
