Amy R. Douglas, DNP, FNP, is a nurse practitioner with Hattiesburg Clinic Hospital Care Service.
Douglas received her Doctor of Nursing Practice and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama College of Nursing in Mobile, Ala. Douglas also received her Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Massachusetts Boston Manning College of Nursing and Health Sciences in Boston. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Southern Mississippi College of Nursing and Health Professions in Hattiesburg, Miss.
At Hospital Care Service, she provides care to hospitalized patients – monitoring their condition, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and adjusting treatment plans. Her goal is to ensure that the patient receives timely and effective care and has a smooth transition back to outpatient treatment.
