Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Welcomes Mark T. Barron, MD
Mark T. Barron, MD, recently joined Hattiesburg Clinic Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine.
At Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, he provides care for conditions of the spine and helps improve patients’ quality of life.
Barron received his medical degree from University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson, Miss. He completed an internship and a residency in orthopaedic surgery with the University of Kentucky Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Ky. He completed a fellowship in spine surgery at the University of Missouri Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute in Columbia, Mo.
Barron is board certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the North American Spine Society and has a special practice interest in the restoration of function and symptom relief through conservative and surgical treatments.
“I was born and raised in Mississippi, and I enjoy taking care of my fellow Mississippians. I want to be there for those who are in need of some guidance in order to get well,” Barron said.
