These features can be found under the tabs at the top of the page. Each tab lists options that are relevant to that particular topic (i.e., Health, Visits, Billing, etc.)

When it comes to staying on top of your health, let Iris work for you.

Downloading the Iris Smartphone App

Iris is available on iPhone and Android devices through the MyChart® app. The MyChart® mobile application is currently available on the Apple® App Store and on Google Play for Android phones.

Download the app in 3 easy steps:

  1. Click one of the links below to download the “MyChart” app on your smartphone.
  1. Search for “Iris.”
  2. Enter your username and password to log in.

Caregiver & Proxy Access

Iris makes managing your family’s health easy. Caregivers can link to a family member’s account, making the management of multiple accounts possible with one login. This is a beneficial feature for:

  • Parents/legal guardians of minors.
  • Legal guardians/caregivers with Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare of dependent adults.
    • Adults who manage another adult’s health care, such as a spouse or elderly parent.

Proxy can only be granted to you with permission of the other individual. Consent must be submitted via a proxy form. Both parties must be present to complete the form so that a Hattiesburg Clinic staff member can serve as a witness.

If you have a child under the age of 14, consent from the child is not required for you to receive proxy access. If you have been granted Durable Power of Attorney for Healthcare of dependent adults, present that documentation at the time you request proxy access if it is not already on file.

Click below to download the appropriate form to complete at your providers’ office.

Billing & Insurance

You can manage your billing with ease and review your insurance coverage on file.

The patient must complete eCheck-In before a video visit. An email reminder will be sent two days before your appointment.

Telehealth Visits

Hattiesburg Clinic offers telehealth video visits so you can electronically visit with certain providers through your Iris account.

Telehealth, also known as telemedicine, is the use of video and voice technology to deliver health care services at a distance. With Hattiesburg Clinic’s live telehealth video service, you have the ability to schedule time with a provider through a two-way video conference while never leaving your office or home. All you need is a device with a camera, such as a smart phone, tablet or computer. You must also have an active Iris account and contact your provider’s office to schedule the video visit. If you don’t have an Iris account, please contact your provider’s office and they will assist you in setting one up.

How to Use Telehealth:

Once your provider has scheduled your Telehealth video visit, the video visit will occur through the Iris application. Please follow these steps:

Preferred Method – from a mobile device:
  • Step 1 – Log in to your MyChart® app 15 minutes prior to your scheduled video visit.
  • Step 2 – Select “Visits.”
  • Step 3 – Select your video visit appointment.
  • Step 4 – Complete eCheck-in, which includes verifying demographics, insurance, medications and allergies, as well as electronically signing a telemedicine consent.
From a computer:
  • Step 1 – Log in to Iris through the website 15 minutes prior to your scheduled video visit.
  • Step 2 – From the main page, select “Visits,” then choose “eCheck-in” for your upcoming video visit.
  • Step 3 – Complete eCheck-in, which includes verifying demographics, insurance, medications and allergies, as well as electronically signing a telemedicine consent.

Once these steps are done, you will be ready to start your video visit. Please wait for the provider to join your visit. If you have issues while waiting for your scheduled time or during the visit, simply call your provider’s office or (601) 579-5432.

Don’t have an Iris account and want to sign up? Contact your provider’s office, and they will assist you in setting one up.

Hello Patient

Hello Patient is a feature in Hattiesburg Clinic’s patient portal Iris that notifies patients 30 minutes before their appointment time, allowing them to confirm their arrival and providing the clinic with real-time updates on their arrival status. This feature is available via the MyChart® app, available on iOS and Android.

Hello Patient operates based on your appointment time, meaning that 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment, Iris will automatically send you a notification, prompting you to confirm your arrival.

By choosing “I’m here”:

  • Patients will be directed to a confirmation page informing them they are successfully checked in.

By choosing “I’m almost there”:

  • Patients will be redirected to a screen where they can provide an estimated time of arrival.
  • Patients will be offered up to 30 minutes of flexibility around their appointment time.

By choosing “I’m not coming”:

  • Patients will be directed to a screen providing instructions on how to promptly cancel their appointment.

Can Patients Disable This Function?

We understand preferences vary, and some patients may prefer not to receive these notifications. To ensure patients have control over their Hello Patient experience, they may disable this function if they choose. Here is how:

  • In Iris, Click Menu > Communication Preferences
  • Navigate to “Appointments”
  • Under “Appointments” section, toggle off “Push notification”.

SMS Text Messaging System

Hattiesburg Clinic utilizes Hello World, a patient text messaging system designed to enhance communication and provide better access to health care information. This system aims to improve the convenience and quality of care for all patients, particularly those who may not have access to Hattiesburg Clinic’s online patient portal, Iris, via the MyChart app or website on their phones.

Patients who have received a text message from Hattiesburg Clinic in the last year will automatically be opted in to the new system. Patients who do not currently receive Hattiesburg Clinic text messages and would like to receive appointment reminders must opt in to Hello World. There will no longer be appointment reminder phone calls.

To opt in, text START to 62831

To opt out, text STOP. For help, text HELP. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary. SMS terms and conditions are available online here.
