Akram E. Dera, MD, is a physician with Hattiesburg Clinic Hospital Care Service.
Dr. Dera received his medical degree from the University of Tripoli Faculty of Medicine in Tripoli, Libya. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Baltimore, Md. Following his residency, Dera remained at Greater Baltimore as fourth year chief resident.
Dera also has experience in medical research, with a Master of Science in clinical research from Rush University in Chicago, Ill. Through his work with Hospital Care Service, Dera provides evidence-based treatment for patients who are hospitalized.
