Amanda L. Edgar, FNP, is a nurse practitioner with Hattiesburg Clinic Heart & Vascular.
Under the supervision of the department’s cardiologists, Edgar received a Bachelor of Science in nursing from The University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Miss., and a Master of Science in nursing from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Ala.
Edgar is board certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She holds memberships with a variety of professional organizations, including the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association, the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society and Spirit of Women.
At Heart & Vascular, Edgar provides care and education to patients with heart failure in an effort to improve outcomes and quality of life. Her goal is to help expand the accessibility of care for patients with heart failure so they can be treated for their condition locally.
