Shomari D. Thompson, MD, is a physician with Hattiesburg Clinic Pine Street Primary Care.
Dr. Thompson received his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn. He completed an internship and residency in family medicine at the Forrest General Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program in Hattiesburg, Miss.
Thompson is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians and Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians. His special practice interests include hypertension, diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, adolescent medicine and preventative care.
At Pine Street Primary Care, Thompson provides comprehensive care to patients of all ages with emphasis on chronic care and preventative medicine. His goal is to help improve the overall wellness of his patients.
