Meet Tiffany Sandifer, RN, Float Nurse
Tiffany Sandifer, RN, is a dedicated member of the Professional Services department at Hattiesburg Clinic, whose role as a float registered nurse (RN) allows her to provide essential support wherever it is needed.
As a float nurse, Sandifer steps in whenever and wherever she is needed, ensuring patient care remains uninterrupted when staff members are out. Whether covering for illnesses or vacations, she helps providers keep their workflow running smoothly.
“I get to see a lot, learn a lot and do a lot,” Tiffany says. “Visiting both primary care and specialty departments allows me to keep my nursing knowledge sharp and ever-growing.”
Sandifer says one of the most rewarding aspects of her role is meeting a variety of people. She enjoys the dynamic nature of her job, which allows her to interact with different patients, coworkers and medical professionals every day.
Sandifer attributes much of her professional growth to her time at Hattiesburg Clinic. “I have learned so much from others around me,” she shares, emphasizing how working in different departments has expanded her knowledge and skillset.
Outside of work, Sandifer enjoys spending quality time with her family through activities like reading, camping, cooking, relaxing and carpentry. In fact, if she could learn anything, she would love to build a house from the ground up!
Sandifer and her husband have been married for 14 years and are proud parents of two children, ages 10 and 7. She was born and raised in Meridian, Miss., and later moved to Hattiesburg before settling in Petal. She began her nursing journey by earning her degree as a licensed practical nurse in Meridian, then continued her education through the registered nursing program at Pearl River Community College through the Clinical Education Enhancement Program (CEEP) that Hattiesburg Clinic offers to all employees.
Describing herself as tenacious, efficient and independent, Sandifer finds motivation in the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson: “What you do speaks so loudly that I cannot hear what you say.”
Hattiesburg Clinic is grateful for Tiffany’s dedication, adaptability and passion for patient care. Her willingness to step in wherever needed and her commitment to continuous learning make her an invaluable part of our team.
