Shannon L. Goldsmith, DO, Receives 2024 Active Practice Physician Award 

Hattiesburg Clinic would like to congratulate Shannon L. Goldsmith, DO, a physician with Hattiesburg Clinic Petal Family Practice Clinic, on recently being honored with the Active Practice Physician Award by the Mississippi Osteopathic Medical Association (MOMA). This prestigious award recognizes a practicing osteopathic physician in Mississippi who is making a significant impact in health care. 

Dr. Goldsmith is a graduate of the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her internship and residency in family medicine and osteopathic manipulative therapy at Firelands Regional Medical Center. She is certified by the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians in family medicine and osteopathic manipulative therapy. Goldsmith also serves on the board of directors for the Cigna HealthSpring plan and in various leadership roles in the MOMA.

Judd M. Reynolds, DO, a colleague at Petal Family Practice Clinic, shared his admiration, stating, “This award is given to a physician who exemplifies excellence in clinical practice, leadership and their impact on the health of their patients and the health care system. I am honored to practice in the same group and clinic as Dr. Goldsmith.” He added, “Her patients uniformly express praise for her clinical acumen and expert skill at communicating with them.”
