Hattiesburg Clinic – Petal Announces Expansion to Enhance Patient Care

Hattiesburg Clinic is pleased to announce a significant expansion initiative aimed at enhancing health care services for the Petal community and its neighboring areas. Hattiesburg Clinic – Petal has transitioned to a new, expanded facility located at 50 Parkway Lane. This effort includes the addition of a substantial 25,050 square foot facility, alongside a renovation of 2,200 square feet within the existing clinic space. This strategic move reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and accessibility.

The new facility accommodates several departments, with Hattiesburg Clinic Petal Family Practice Clinic remaining in its current location in Suite 10. Immediate Care – Petal is located on the first floor of the new building in Suite 100, while Children’s Clinic – Petal is located on the second floor in Suite 200. In the fall, we will expand our services to include Dermatology – Petal, which will also be located on the second floor.

Chief Executive Officer of Hattiesburg Clinic, Bryan N. Batson, MD, reflects on the significance of this expansion, “Many may not realize that Petal is where Hattiesburg Clinic established its first satellite location in 1978. As the Petal community has grown, so have our efforts to meet patient needs.”

“In 2009, we made the decision to relocate our primary care services from downtown Petal to the Evelyn Gandy location,” Dr. Batson continued. “This move not only facilitated easier access for patients but also laid the groundwork for future improvements and expansions.” Today, Petal is home to Hattiesburg Clinic Petal Family Practice Clinic, Immediate Care – Petal, Children’s Clinic – Petal and Petal Physical Therapy.

Looking ahead in 2024, Hattiesburg Clinic aims to further diversify its health care offerings in Petal. “In the fall, we are expanding our services to include dermatology, and we are actively planning to enhance our specialty care offerings and expand our pediatric services to better serve the community,” said Batson.

As enthusiasm grows for the impact this expansion will have on the community, Hattiesburg Clinic physicians and providers are equally excited. Judd M. Reynolds, DO, a physician with Hattiesburg Clinic Petal Family Practice Clinic, said, “We are thankful for the opportunity to be able to expand our clinic, as it will also enhance our ability to recruit more doctors.” Dr. Reynolds added that these efforts all allow for better patient care.

“We want to continue seeing this wonderful community thrive; the clinic is committed to providing excellent health care to Petal and its surrounding areas,” Batson emphasized. Reynolds agreed, stating, “We are incredibly excited to continue to serve Petal for many years to come.”
