Hattiesburg Clinic Continues Title Sponsorship of the Hattiesburg Half Marathon
For the third consecutive year, Hattiesburg Clinic is proud to serve as the title sponsor for the Hattiesburg Half Marathon/10K/5K, reinforcing our commitment to community health and wellness. The 13th annual race is set for Saturday, April 5, 2025, and continues to be a premier event that attracts runners from across the country while supporting local nonprofit organizations in the Pine Belt region.
Hattiesburg Clinic Chief Executive Officer Bryan N. Batson, MD, highlighted the clinic’s dedication to the event, saying, “Hattiesburg Clinic is proud to support an event that strengthens our community and benefits organizations making a real difference in people’s lives. Investing in local initiatives like this reflects our ongoing commitment to the well-being of those we serve.”
The Hattiesburg Half Marathon has long been dedicated to giving back to the community. This year, eight local nonprofits will benefit from the event: The Arc Southeast MS, The Children’s Center for Communication and Development, Domestic Abuse Family Shelter, The DuBard School for Language Disorders, The Family YMCA of Southeast Mississippi, Kuntry Kidz Youth Foundation, Southern Pines Animal Shelter and Laurel Christian School.
Ensuring the safety and well-being of race participants remains a top priority. Hattiesburg Clinic Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine has been involved in the event since its inception in 2012, working closely with the City of Hattiesburg and emergency response teams to provide medical coverage. Their team will once again be stationed along the race route to assist runners as needed.
“We are grateful to be able to provide medical coverage for such a great community event,” Chad Davis, MS, LAT, ATC, manager of the sports medicine team at Hattiesburg Clinic, said. “Sports medicine has been providing medical coverage for the race for many years and has always enjoyed being involved. My advice for the runners is to stay hydrated and listen to your body. Our team, including several of our physicians and athletic trainers, will be stationed along the race route and will be available if a runner needs any assistance.”
