Hattiesburg Clinic Announces Update to Patient Text Messaging System

Hattiesburg Clinic is excited to announce an important update to its patient text messaging system, designed to enhance communication and provide better access to health care information. The system through Epic, known as Hello World, aims to improve the convenience and quality of care for all patients, particularly those who may not have access to Hattiesburg Clinic’s online patient portal, Iris, via the MyChart app or website on their phones.

Text messaging is a valuable tool for delivering important health updates and reminders. It provides a simple and efficient way for patients to receive appointment reminders and stay informed about their visits, billing and other crucial health information.

Patients who have received a text message from Hattiesburg Clinic in the last year will automatically be opted in to the new system. Patients who do not currently receive Hattiesburg Clinic text messages and would like to receive appointment reminders must opt in to Hello World. There will no longer be appointment reminder phone calls.

To opt in, simply text START to 62831. Message and data rates may apply. SMS terms and conditions are available online at www.hattiesburgclinic.com/sms-terms-and-conditions. For questions or support, please call (601) 579-5432.
