Dr. Glaze retires after 33 years of service
Hattiesburg Clinic would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to A. Lamar Glaze, MD, who has retired from Hattiesburg Clinic Obstetrics & Gynecology after 33 years of service.
Shortly after serving in the United States Air Force, Dr. Glaze began his practice at Hattiesburg Clinic in 1989.
Colleen Hemeter, LPN, has worked alongside Dr. Glaze for nearly a decade and said she has always had the best time working with him.
“He is a great doctor and so much fun to be around,” Hemeter said. “I will always remember his wonderful sense of humor, jokes, and impersonations.”
Dr. Glaze also received high praise from his patients’ online and was awarded Vitals Patients’ Choice Award in 2017 and 2018, an honor that is bestowed to physicians who receive near perfect scores, as voted by patients.
When asked what he is most grateful for throughout his career, Dr. Glaze said the relationships he has made over the years.
“I have enjoyed being involved in my patients’ lives, especially the continuity of obstetrics where you see the patient often throughout their pregnancy,” Glaze said. “I have practiced with great partners at Hattiesburg Clinic, who have been more than colleagues, we have also been friends. I have truly enjoyed my 33-plus years at Hattiesburg Clinic. I do not think I could have had a better practice anywhere else.”
Please join us in recognizing Dr. Glaze for his many years of service at Hattiesburg Clinic and wishing him well in his retirement, where he said he plans to travel, rekindle old hobbies like golf and fishing, and enjoy quality time with his wife, Juanice.
Thank you, Dr. Glaze!
