The pediatric ophthalmologists at Hattiesburg Clinic are dedicated to caring for children’s eye health and vision from birth through adolescence. We treat young patients of all ages, and we are proud to specialize in complex pediatric eye disorders for premature infants, as well as infants in the NICU. Our specialists offer comprehensive pediatric eye care, including detecting and treating pediatric ocular conditions and performing the most advanced eye surgeries.

When should my child have an eye exam?

The earlier pediatric eye conditions are caught, the better the outcome for your child. For infants, we work closely to identify any symptoms that could indicate a more serious eye condition. Eye exams for children are extremely important to ensure your child has healthy vision and to detect any eye conditions as early as possible. Your child’s pediatrician and trained school screeners can help determine if your child needs a further pediatric eye exam with our team.
