Hospital Care Service Welcomes Syed Mussadiq Ali Akbar Naqvi, MD

Syed Mussadiq Ali Akbar Naqvi, MD, recently joined Hattiesburg Clinic Hospital Care Service, where he provides care for patients exclusively while they are in the hospital and coordinates care with the patient’s primary care provider. 

Naqvi received his medical degree from Sargodha Medical College, University of Health Sciences in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed his residency at in internal medicine at Merit Health Wesley Internal Medicine Residency Program in Hattiesburg, Miss.

At Hospital Care Service, he provides care for patients exclusively while they are in the hospital. Naqvi monitors their condition, orders and interprets diagnostic tests and adjusts treatment plans as needed. Naqvi also coordinates a patient’s hospital care with his or her primary care physician to ensure that the patient receives timely and effective care and has a smooth transition back to outpatient treatment.

“What I enjoy most about serving in health care, as an internal medicine physician, is the variety it offers; we encounter cases ranging from the most common to the most complex, which broadens our experience and enables us to tackle all sorts of conditions confidently,” Naqvi said.
