Critical Care Medicine Welcomes Robert D. Walley, DO
Robert D. Walley, DO, recently joined Hattiesburg Clinic Critical Care Medicine.
At Critical Care Medicine, he provides care to seriously or critically ill patients, who have or are recovering from life-threatening conditions.
Dr. Walley received his medical degree from William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Hattiesburg, Miss. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine – Largo Medical Center in Largo, Fla. In 2017, Walley was selected as the Largo Medical Center Resident of the Year.
Walley is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American Thoracic Society, the American College of Osteopathic Internists, the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the American College of Physicians.
“Being sick is scary and being critically ill can be downright terrifying. Caring for patients and their families through these challenging times is a passion of mine,” Walley said. “I hope to provide high quality care as an intensivist and help grow the program into a premier destination for critically ill patients in our region.”
