Hospital Care Service Welcomes Amman Yousaf, MD
Amman Yousaf, MD, recently joined Hattiesburg Clinic Hospital Care Service, where he provides care to patients who are admitted into the hospital.
Dr. Yousaf received his medical degree from the Services Institute of Medical Sciences in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed his residency in internal medicine at McLaren Flint in Flint, Mich., where he also served as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine.
As a hospitalist, Yousaf provides continuous care to hospitalized patients – monitoring their condition, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and adjusting treatment plans as needed. He coordinates a patient’s hospital care with his or her primary care physician to ensure the patient receives timely and effective care and has a smooth transition back to outpatient treatment.
“My top priority is to provide high-quality, evidence-based care with a compassionate and empathetic attitude. I find great fulfillment in caring for those in need and witnessing the positive impact of those efforts,” Yousaf said.
